ST JOHN THE EVANGELIST CEMETERY

Owned by Lynn A.  and Mary E.  Murphy-Hoffmann.   Parcel # 05-10-27-0000-0950-0010, OR 632 P 185 from John Snyder, Bishop of The Diocese of St. Augustine.   Part of Deed Book 0 Page 558 dated 22 June, 1882, from Wylde L.  L.  Bowen and wife Mary F. to Reverend John Moore, Bishop of St. Augustine.  It lies approximately 300 feet west of the northwest corner of SR 207 and Clyde McCormick Road in East Palatka.   The 911 address is 106 West McCormick Road.

There has been considerable damage to one of the headstones in this cemetery.   There are also many more gravesites in the cemetery than what appears to be there.

On April 29, 2000, the eight extant Mays Cemetery monuments were removed from Braddock Cemetery and erected here until and if they can be returned to the Mays Cemetery.   HASTINGS QUAD.   N 29o 39.151 W 81o 35.7.   (Maintained).
