ILLINGWORTH CEMETERY AKA PINNER POND CEMETERY

 

Is 210 feet x 210 feet.  Parcel #31-11-25-0000-0380-0000, Deed Book 25 P 397.  Take HWY 19 south.  Cross the Ocklawaha River.   Take National Forest Road #77 to right, about 5.5 miles to the cemetery on right.   This is an old Ocklawaha River Settlement cemetery dating back to the Civil War era.   It may also be confused or connected in some way with the Arthur Pinner grave site which lies nearby.

 

Within the last 25 years there has been established an Indian Reservation (non-governmental) at Orange Springs and this tribe (Yammasee <sic> Seminoles) have been using this cemetery to bury their dead.   LAKE DELANCY QUAD.  N 29o 29.239 W 81o 49.542.  (Maintained).
