DAVIS INFANT BURIAL SITE
This is the burial site of the Unnamed
Infant of Joseph and Margaret Davis who was born and died May 9, 1889. It is
located on property owned by Joyce and Steve Feagin
at 591 CR 310. Parcel #17-11-25-7935-0000-0030. Take HWY 19 south. Turn right on CR-310 for approximately 4
miles. Gravesite is behind and to the
left of the address I visited today. It
is being very well cared for and the present owners plan to repair the
monument, constructed out of sandstone, and erect a picket fence about the

I was asked if I knew anything further
about the Davises. Sadly, I do not. However, a perusal of the Putnam County
Marriage Records reveals an application for a Marriage License between a Joseph
Davis and Margaret Sherrouse on June 10, 1886. [Putnam County Marriages Book C page
163.] This is only a suggestion. Please do not treat this suggestion of
parentage as fact without proper research on your part. Thank you.
